The success in growth and market positioning of the business led to an acquisition by BidFair USA.

These efforts resulted in the development a new national news brand, the successful sale of Gracenote to Nielsen, and a company-wide acquisition by Nexstar Media Group.

By bringing the print model to digital while modifying a rich historical archive to live in new formats, Onion Studios was established and brought this new programming to streaming TV, OTT, CTV, and social video platforms, leading to an acquisition by Univision.
