About

Curiosity, informed by logic.

With a deep fascination in culture, nature, humanity, and media, my experiences have been driven by curiosity and informed by logic. A professional background in audience, analytics, and marketing has led me to work within organizations including Tribune Media, The Onion, VICE, Sotheby's, Jing Daily, and WPP. Inside these businesses I've built data-driven frameworks to guide content creation and commercial growth, while stepping in as an infrastructure architect wherever it was needed most.

My foundation in understanding audiences is rooted in an earlier chapter in politics, government, and strategic communications — serving as a political analyst from 2006 to 2012 in the private sector, on behalf of the White House and key political figures in the UK, Eastern Europe, and East Asia.

Beyond the aforementioned highlights of my "land based" work, I am avid freediver and cinematographer with a specific focus on offshore, pelagic wildlife (whales, sharks, fish, birds, marine mammals). My work has been licensed and featured in select commercial, natural history, feature film, sport, and educational productions. Filming wild, underwater interactions and predation events without interruption has only been possible because of the diving on breathhold method. This practice has enhanced my direction and vision when holding the camera and working with subjects that forever continue to inspire my curiosity.

As a whole part of my personal narrative, this visual work is driven by an intense interest in both cultural and natural effects on perception. Through this work, I've always sought to mediate between the inherently personal nature of perception and how it impacts human understanding of our physical environment above + below the surface.
